BLOW DRYING
BRUSHING YOUR HAIR


 


 High speed and temperature of blow dryers are damaging to the hair.
Allow hair to cool and contract prior to brushing out style.
Heat opens hair cuticles, thus permitting moisture to escape.
Switch speed to lowest temperature when hair is nearly dry to help realign cuticles.





Never brush wet hair it causes damage to hair already stretched and swollen.
Do not brush hair excessively it can lead to split ends or damaged hair.
Use a brush with natural bristles and a wooden base for daily brushing.

Hair pulled back too tightly can put stress on hair and pull it out from the roots.
Braids that are attached to the hair too tightly can cause alopecia (hair loss) along the hairline due to over-stretching of hair strands over a long period of time.
Never clip or use a rubber band on wet hair.
Even healthy hair when stretched excessively will break.
